Hi, I’m Shari — and just a short time ago, I was standing in shoes many of our patients find familiar.

In June of 2022, I was on a family vacation, smiling for the camera — but inwardly cringing every time I saw a photo of myself. Despite my athletic background and countless hours in the gym doing cardio and weight training, I couldn't lose weight.

My body had changed after having my thyroid removed and undergoing a neck fusion. I felt defeated. When the scale hit 275 pounds, I wanted to cry.

Still, I pushed forward. I managed to lose 20 pounds on my own — and then I discovered Mounjaro. After doing my research and understanding the risks, I decided to give it a try. On August 13, 2022, I gave myself my first injection at 255 pounds, determined to feel better, stronger, and more confident — especially with my daughter’s senior year pictures coming up.

That first month, I lost 14 pounds.
By Christmas, I was under 200 — down 59 pounds.

By my daughter’s high school graduation, I had lost 100 pounds. My energy came back. My confidence came back. And I knew I wasn’t stopping there.

I set a goal to reach 140 pounds, a number I hadn’t seen since college. Five months later, I hit it — and I cried happy tears.

I went from:

• XXL tops to mediums
• Size 18–20 jeans to size 4
• Even size 11 shoes to size 10

But the biggest transformation was internal: I felt empowered, inspired, and ready to help others.
